Ohio, an Automotive Powerhouse

Home to major auto assembly plants including Honda, Ford, GM and Fiat Chrysler, it is no surpise that Ohio is the second largest automotive state in the United States.

The Eastern and Southern Ohio region is home to over 40 automotive related manufacturers that employ over 4,600 workers.  These production facilities are directly engaged in the transportation industry, including Tier One and Tier Two auto suppliers and a major Kenworth truck assembly plant.

Crossroads of Auto Supply Chain

With easy uncongested access, along four-lane US 35, Gallia County is situated less than 30 minutes from Toyota Motor Manufacturing WV and less than an hour from the Kenworth truck assembly plant in Chillicothe, OH.

Toyota Motor Manufacturing, WV is Toyota's only combined engine and transmission plant in North America. The $1.4 Billion facility employs over 1,500.

GKN Sinter Metals is the world's leading supplier of metal power precision components.  Their Gallipolis facility produces gears, clutch pressure plates and torque-converter components for a variety of customers including Chrysler, General Motors, EXEDY, LuK USA, and Allison Transmission. In 2013, the Gallipolis location completed a $10 Million expansion.
