ElectroCraft, Inc specializes in dependable, application-engineer specialty fractional-horsepower motor and motion products. 

GKN Sinter Metals

GKN Sinter Metals produces gears, clutch pressure plates and torque-converter components for a variety of customers, including Chrysler, General Motors, EXEDY, LuK USA and Allison Transmission. In 2013, the Gallipolis location completed a $10 Million expansion. 

Holzer Health System

Holzer Health System, Gallia County’s single largest employer, is an independent, community-owned health care system. With over 160 board certified or board eligible physicians providing care in more than 30 areas of expertise, Holzer 21 locations throughout southeastern Ohio and western West Virginia, Holzer, including its headquarters here in Gallia County. 

Lightstone Generation - Gavin Power Plant

The General James M. Gavin Power Plant is a 2.6 gigawatt coal-fired power station operated by Lightstone Generation.  It is the largest coal fired power facility in Ohio, and one of the largest in the nation. 

Ohio Valley Electric Corporation (OVEC) - Kyger Creek Power Plant

The Kyger Creek Power Plant is a 1-Gigawatt coal-fired power station operated by the Ohio Valley Electric Corporation. 

The Ohio Valley Bank

Established in 1872, the Ohio Valley Bank currently operates 15 offices throughout Ohio and West Virginia. The Ohio Valley Banc Corp common stock is traded on the NASDAQ Global Market.  The mission of the Ohio Valley Bank is clear, Community First!

The University of Rio Grande & Rio Grande Community College

Established in 1876 as Rio Grande College, “Rio” as the community calls it, is a leading regional institute of higher education. Rio has seen tremendous enrollment growth in recent years since announcing a Tuition Affordability Plan in 2021, which lowered total cost of attendance to the University by more than $7,500 a year.

Bellisio Foods

A leader in the frozen foods industry, Bellisio Foods is just 20 minutes away in Jackson, Ohio, and manufactures brands such as Michelina’s, Chili’s, Lean Gourmet, and Boston Market.

General Mills

A recognized national leader in the food industry. The Wellston, Ohio, plant is under 30 minutes away and manufactures food products, including Totinos pizza snacks

Toyota Motor Manufacturing

Toyota Motor Manufacturing in Buffalo, West Virginia, is Toyota’s only combined engine and transmission plant in North America. The $1.4 billion facility is 30 minutes from Gallia County and employs 2,000 people.

Kenworth

Kenworth’s Chillicothe, Ohio, facility is the final stop before Kenworth’s trucks get on the road. Under an hour drive from Gallia County, Kenworth employs nearly 2,000 people.

COMING SOON: Nucor

Just 15 minutes away from Gallia County, Nucor announced in early 2022 a $3.1 billion investment to build a state-of-the-art steel mill in Apple Grove, West Virginia. The facility is expected to employ more than 800 full time employees once operational.

COMING SOON: Berkshire Hathaway and Precision Castparts Corp.

In 2022, Berkshire Hathaway and aerospace manufacturing leader Precision Castparts Corp. announced a $500 million investment 40 minutes from Gallia County in Ravenswood, West Virginia. The aerospace plant will be powered by a renewable energy microgrid and could employ up to 1,000 people once operational.
